Shipping Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2025

Shipping Arrangement and Responsibility

The client can elect to collect  goods ordered and paid for from the Manufacturers premises in Ramsgate South Africa and arrange their own shipping as required. In such instances, the manufactures liability ends once the goods have been collected by either the buyer or their appointed representative.

Where the buyer requires the Manufacturer to arrange shipping, it is understood that this will be arranged with FedEx on behalf of the buyer on a CIP basis i.e the Manufacturer (now referred to as the ‘Shipper’), will arrange and pay for Carriage and Insurance.

Notwithstanding that Tariff charges up to 30% of the value of the goods on US orders  have been included in the list price of the goods, any  other import charges i.e taxes, duties or any other fees for storage or a clearance event that may be levied by Customs in the destination country will be for the Buyer’s / Consignee’s account.

Shipping Origin

All orders will be shipped from our facilities located in Ramsgate, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Damages in Transit

If the goods are damaged in transit, the customer should contact us immediately, preferably within 24 hours of receiving the shipment, so that we can assist in filing a claim.

Where there is obvious damage to  goods and or packaging on delivery, this should be noted on the waybill or delivery note and signed by the delivery person.

It is also essential that any visible damage be photographed and preserved to support any subsequent insurance claim.

Liability

The Shipper will not be liable for any loss not covered by the Insurer or for loss which may result from  delayed or non-delivery of any shipment or from any other cause, unless it can be shown that such loss was as a direct result of negligence or malpractice on the part of the Shipper.

Packaging Standards

Quality Assurance

Aquacat is committed to ensuring that your products reach you in perfect condition. We use thick, double-walled cardboard boxes for all shipments. This robust packaging ensures maximum protection against external pressures and potential damages.

Special Packaging for Boat Kits

When shipping any Aquacat boat kit, we further support the product with polystyrene inserts. This additional protection ensures that the boat kit remains secure and protected from potential damages during transit.

Return Shipments

Customer Responsibility

Shipping products back to us either for repair or return is the customer’s responsibility. We will not cover these costs and are not liable for any damage while the shipment is in transit. We recommend customers use trackable shipping services or purchase shipping insurance for their returns to ensure the safety of their products.

Packaging for Returns

To be eligible for a refund, the customer must return the product in its original packaging. This ensures the product remains in a sellable condition and prevents any further damage during transit.

Packaging Exceptions

Aquacat reserves the right to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept returns not in their original packaging.
